County Care's Dress Code
Hair
All staff should wear hair as neat, tidy and as reasonably possible.
Where hair needs to be covered for religious reasons, a turban or a black well-secured scarf may be worn, but should be plain and no longer than shoulder length.
Nails
Nails should be short, clean and well-trimmed i.e. no longer than finger tips.
No artificial nails should be used to minimise risk of injury to patients.
Footwear
Shoes should be flat and enclosed at the heels and toes to avoid injury whilst using equipment.
Flip flops and crocs are not appropriate.
Jewellery and makeup
Make-up if worn should be in moderation.
Staff may wear a plain ring with no stones and ear studs or small hoops.
It should be noted that wedding bands with embedded stones, lattice and/or engravings increase the risk of transmission of infection and extra vigilance with hand hygiene must be taken.
No wrist watches, necklaces and bracelets are to be worn.
No body piercing should be visible.

Religious symbols
Religious symbols such as Kirpans must be considered on an individual basis with reasonable practicable arrangements made alongside with patient care and health & safety considerations.
Maternity uniforms
Maternity uniforms will be supplied upon request to employees’ manager.
Maternity uniforms are to be returned upon return to work following maternity leave or on the last working day, if not returning to work.
On leaving work staff should return all uniforms to their Line Manager.
