Do I need to have experience to work as a Carer for County Care Berkshire?
No, during the interview process we look for individuals who are compassionate, empathetic, positive, energetic and a people’s person. You will be offered full training and an opportunity to work alongside an experienced carer before working independently as a County Care carer. The right attitude is essential, everything else can be taught!
Will I have the chance to work with different client groups?
Yes, at County Care Berkshire we support both Children and Adults. The Domiciliary Care Team primarily care for Elderly clients who wish to remain independent in their own homes. As a domiciliary carer you will be helping with personal care, companionship, medication, or maybe shopping and light housework.
The Complex Healthcare Team work with Adults and Children who have an acute health condition or learning difficulties and therefore require more specialised support at home. You will have the chance to develop specialist skills to allow you to work with different client groups. Many of our carers go onto become nurses whilst remaining with County Care as bank staff.
Can I work part time as a Carer with County Care?
Whether you want a full time or part time job, regular or bank hours, there are opportunities within County Care to suit you. Care work can fit in with family commitments and is an excellent way of earning some extra money. Care work can be a brilliant later-life career.
Will I be working as part of a Team?
As a County Care carer, you will be working as a team member and building relationships with clients and their families. You will be well supported by the office team. When you are out in the field you may be working independently or as a double up with another carer. The personal connections you make with clients, their families and the County Care Team help to make the job rewarding and unique.
